Launching the Fill A Bus Campaign

At Winter4Kids, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to challenge themselves, build confidence, and experience the power of the outdoors.

This season, 1,846 participants came to the mountain through our programs, resulting in more than 11,000 lessons delivered and over 22,000 hours spent outside learning, growing, and discovering what they are capable of.

But even with more than 50 youth organizations participating this year, there were still 875 empty seats on buses already coming to Winter4Kids.

Not because students didn’t want to come.
Not because the buses weren’t running.
But because the cost of participation remained a barrier.

That is why we are launching the Fill A Bus Campaign.

The Fill A Bus Campaign is focused on turning unused capacity into meaningful opportunity. By helping cover the cost of participation for students, we can ensure that more youth have access to experiences that build resilience, confidence, independence, and connection.

For many participants, Winter4Kids is their first time skiing or snowboarding. It is also often their first opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, overcome fear, and realize they are capable of more than they thought possible.

What happens here goes far beyond winter sports.

We see students arrive unsure of themselves and leave believing in their abilities. We see friendships form, confidence grow, and young people begin to view challenges differently. These experiences help participants R.I.S.E. through:

Since opening, Winter4Kids has served more than 20,000 youth through programs designed to remove barriers and create access to outdoor experiences and mentorship opportunities.

Now, we have the opportunity to reach even more.
