HEAD's Landmark Donation Transforms Winter4Kids Equipment Fleet

VERNON, N.J. – Winter4Kids is proud to announce the largest equipment donations in the organization's history. HEAD has donated more than 2,500 skis and snowboards to support Winter4Kids' mission of providing life-changing winter sports experiences to youth.

The donation will modernize Winter4Kids' equipment fleet, ensuring thousands of young participants have access to high-quality, professionally maintained equipment throughout the coming years. The new inventory includes a full range of sizes, allowing the organization to better serve beginners through advanced participants.

For many years, Winter4Kids relied on an aging equipment fleet that had been in service since the organization's early days. Last season, HEAD made a significant donation that replaced much of the youth ski fleet. This latest contribution expands that commitment even further, replacing additional equipment and adding sizes that were previously unavailable, allowing older and taller participants to be properly outfitted for the first time.

"This donation is transformational for Winter4Kids and the thousands of young people we serve each year," said Judie Rullis, CEO of Winter4Kids. "Equipment should never be a barrier to discovering skiing or snowboarding. HEAD's extraordinary generosity allows us to provide an even better experience for every participant while ensuring our equipment remains safe, modern, and accessible."

Each winter, Winter4Kids introduces nearly 2,000 youth from under-resourced communities to skiing and snowboarding through its First Tracks scholarship program. Participants receive professional instruction, equipment, meals, and mentorship, removing the financial barriers that often prevent children from experiencing winter sports.

The donation also supports Winter4Kids' growing recreational lesson programs, race team, camps, and community initiatives, all of which rely on a dependable equipment fleet to serve participants of all ages and abilities.

"This is far more than an equipment donation," Rullis added. "It's an investment in opportunity. Every pair of skis and every snowboard represents another young person who will gain confidence, build resilience, and discover what they're capable of on the mountain."

The effort to coordinate the donation was led by Danielle Vallat, Winter4Kids' Donor and Community Engagement Manager, whose work helped bring this landmark partnership to fruition.
