Vernon, NJ - [January, 2026] - Winter4Kids announced that Judie Rullis has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer, marking a strategic next chapter for the organization as it continues to expand access to winter experiences for youth and strengthen its long-term impact.

Judie has been part of Winter4Kids since its inception and brings deep institutional knowledge, operational leadership, and a lifelong connection to winter sports. Her appointment reflects continuity, stability, and a strong commitment to the mission as Winter4Kids builds on its momentum, community partnerships, and growing impact.

“Winter4Kids exists because kids deserve a place designed just for them. A mountain just for kids allows us to live our RISE framework every day, building Resilience, fostering Inclusion, providing Support, and creating Empowerment through winter experiences. Our mission is about more than learning to ski or ride; it’s about helping young people discover confidence, belonging, and their own potential.” ,said Judie

Judie previously served as Director of Programming & Operations at Winter4Kids, where she played a central role in program delivery, daily operations, and organizational growth. Her experience also includes working at Mountain Creek and Intrawest, giving her a strong foundation in mountain operations and youth-focused programming. She is a former U.S. Ski & Snowboard (USSS) racer and currently holds multiple USSS certifications, including Level 2 Timing & Calculations, Level 1 Race Administrator, Level 1 Chief of Race, and Level 1 Referee. She has also coached for U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Pope John High School.

Winter4Kids is the nation’s only winter activity center built exclusively for kids. By operating in a dedicated environment, the organization delivers consistent, progression-based programming, maintains appropriate supervision and safety standards, and fosters an inclusive culture where every child belongs. “Winter4Kids stands on the strong foundation established by our founder, Schone Malliet, whose vision and leadership have guided our mission from the start. This transition underscores our commitment to long-term stability and continued impact as we remain dedicated to serving kids through exceptional winter programs.” Harry Thomas (Chairman of the Board). Winter4Kids also expressed gratitude to founder Schone Malliet for his vision and leadership in establishing the organization.

This year, Winter4Kids is serving more than 1,800 participants, and by the end of the season will have served over 20,000 youth since opening in 2015. Under Judie's leadership, the organization has continued to expand programming, strengthen operations, and deepen partnerships with schools and community organizations, all within a purpose-built environment designed to meet the unique needs of children.
